During delivery home heating oil is pumped into your tank under high pressure causing any sludge or sediment that is on the bottom of the tank to be “stirred” up into the remainder of the fuel.

The natural sludge and sediment that is contained in all home heating oil will generally fall to the bottom of your tank. The likelihood of pulling this contamination into your heating system where it can wreak havoc is greatly increased as your fuel level falls below ¼.

So before the chilly autumn nights set in make sure you call to schedule a yearly cleaning and check up.
